🔧 Work Performed
Verified the customer received all parts. The fuses that were delivered are the wrong size. Added pictures. Verified the existing fuse had blown due to not being a time delay fuse. Traveled to the local hardware store and purchased the correct 3A 250 slow burn fuse. Added the shipped fuses into my trunk stock. Installed the replacement fuse and verified operation. The exam light came on but soon after had shut off. Removed the top cover and verified continuity on the cables. PASS. I removed the on and off switch and noticed that the connections are damaged. This unit will require part# SKU: 6000052. Located part on internet Burton Medical. Reviewed repair with the customer. 7-9-25 No replacement fuses sent to site. need to shut off power to room. Staff advised no, patients in rooms and breaker box is not labeled. Advised that I can reschedule when office is not busy. Update 7/30/2025 - Tech arrived on site and was handed the parts for the switch and fuses. After taking the switch out, tech noticed that the wires inside the down tube were twisted. Tech removed the 4 set screws and took the light down and found that none of the wires were connected, and that the Blue wire has a burn mark on the connector. Tech talked to Wendy and Wendy said to put the light back up and put in Needs Follow up. She will try and get an approval for my parts. Tech put the light back up but did not connect any wires. Tech took photo and attached them to WO. Update 8/25/2025 - Tech arrived on site and was handed the parts that were sent to customer. Tech started by removing the light and changing out the wire harness and replacing the transformer. When tech started replacing the Head Arm, tech noticed that the Extension Arm was stripped and it also needs to be replaced. Tech showed the customer and she said it's fine. Update 9/23/2025 - Tech arrived on site and was handed the parts that were ordered to complete the light job. After installing the new parts, tech ran into some trouble having the light come on, tech called Keith at Level 2 support, and he said to call Burton Medical. Tech called Ed at Burton Medical and told him what was going on and the light not turning on. Ed talked to tech and had tech send over some photos, and he saw the problem right away. After talking to ED the light came on. Tech showed the POC, and she was pleased to have the light working again.
