🔧 Work Performed
Removed all shrouds and installed the new Snap-On Glides and Shroud Isolators that were provided for the repair. Reinstalled shrouds and tested chair movement up and down—noise was still present but less noticeable. After additional troubleshooting, I found that some shrouds were slightly bent and rubbing during movement. I straightened them as much as possible, and the chair now operates without any abnormal noise. Note: Advised customer (Jackie Lueng) that if the abnormal noise reoccurs, the recommended next step will be replacement of the shrouds.
🔍 Technician Findings
Verified that the chair shrouds were making contact during upward and downward movement, resulting in a high-pitched sound. After removal of the upper shroud, operational testing confirmed normal chair function without abnormal noise, identifying the shrouds as the source.
