🔧Work Performed
Met with POC. Turned on leak detector. Unit wouldnt function had high gain warnings. Started by replacing the tri scroll pump head that was sent to customer. After finishing with pump, I removed covers and started taking the unit apart starting with spec tube and wanted to get a look at spec tube and hot ion source as well as filaments. When i removed the ion source and board I noticed that the ion source with the filaments looked completely different I called Agilent and spoke to Julie and she informed me that it was an outdated part, as well as they dont make them anymore and that the unit needed to be shipped back for an overhaul because there were numerous parts and boards that would need replacing and a complete software upgrade.
I put the unit back together and informed customer of the situation and they told me they would work out with Agilent when they were sending unit back.
