Work Performed
Customer described issues of a vial pressure shutdown, which prevented the headspace to start sample runs. Ran
the headspace leak and restriction test, and saw the instrument fail at stage 1 of the needle restriction test, with
P=0.6. Replaced the old sample probe with a new one that the customer had in their inventory. However, that only
gave marginal improvements. Replaced the entire flow block manifold. Again, there were only slight improvements
to the pressure. Replaced SV1, the vial pressurization valve. No real improvements were seen at this point. Verified
that the correct vial pressurization gas was configured correctly on the headspace. Investigated the gas sensor
calibrations, as the flows and pressures were out of the typical range while running the leak and restriction test.
Calibrated the vial flow and pressure sensors, and immediately saw flows and pressures that one would expect
while the headspace is idle. Re-ran the leak and restriction test, which passed.
