🔧Work Performed
On the 630, I removed the upholstery and removed the seat pan. I then disconnected the motor control board and removed the board from the seat. I then removed the board from the bracket. I installed the new board into the bracket I then installed the board assembly into the seat of the chair and connected all the wires. I then removed the cover on the main board and put the main board into calibration. I calibrated the chair and the chair completed the calibration. I reassembled the chair. I then function tested the chair and all passed. I returned the motor back to Midmark. I retuned the chair to service.
🔍Technician Findings
On the 630, I arrived and found that the backrest motor was making a grinding noise and would not raise or lower the backrest. I then moved the tilt wires to the back connection on the board and the back wires to the tilt connection. I then was able to move the back motor. I then fixed the wires. I discovered that that the Motor control hub was not functioning. MIDMARK IS SENDING OUT THE NEW BOARD AND A NEW MOTOR. I WAS ADVISED BY MIDMARK TO INSTALL THE NEW MOTOR CONTROL HUB BOARD AND SEE IF THE PROBLEM IS FIXED. IF PROBLE IS FIX THE MOTOR IS TO BE SHIPPED BACK TO MIDMARK, IF PROBLEM IS NOT FIXED, REPLACED THE MOTOR.
