Open up unit to check for cause of issue. Unit had burned up PC board.
9/22/2025 Curtis Sprague: Installed new PC board and inlet fuses.
Tested power outlets for possible issues/causing failure of chair.
🔍Technician Findings
Arrived onsite. Met with POC. Two chairs had the exact same problem. No power to chair. After removing panels and cover for main PC board I noticed that the PC board was burned up. (See attached pic). The customer informed me that 2 chairs that they just recently had delivered were doing the exact same thing. I was informed by Midmark (Jason Good) that they were ordering new boards and inlet fuses to be replaced.
9/22/2025 Curtis Sprague: Parts were due to arrive between 10 am to 1 pm. Coordinated between Kaitlyn and Lacy when the parts were to arrive. Received call from Ryan at Midmark asking about parts arrival and to get picture of what was going on with chairs. This unit V2849393 had a power surge somehow that burned up the inlet fuses and also burned up the main board. I tested the electrical outlet that the unit was plugged into and it showed 120.4 volts. I recommended to customer that since it was a new upgrade on an old building that a safe choice was to install GFCI outlets to protect the units in case of another power surge. Ryan with Midmark agreed with me on this. Ryan and I also decided that the best course of action was to replace the main board and inlet fuses and plug the unit in to lower the chairs to a manageable level for seeing patients and then remove chords from chair and put power chords in storage until an electrician could come in and replace outlets and also check on possible other causes for power surge/interruption.
